Laura's Bridal Shower

Our friends Laura and Jeremy are getting married in December. Betsy and I planned a shower for our church friends to attend. Since it's a winter wedding we went with a snow theme. Betsy had this blue tablecloth that was absolutely perfect.

Char was working on the rehearsal bouquet as Laura opened her gifts. People use gift bags now, so there aren't many ribbons. However, Char did a great job with what she had and made a beautiful bouguet!

Baby Shower

We had a Baby Shower for Jen K who is having a baby girl in December. It's a very exciting time for her and her husband Mike. Since they have been calling the baby "Grasshopper" we went with a grasshopper theme for the party. Notice the grasshopper on the bag.

 We had the party at Amber's house and she thought it would be fun for the quests to snacked on popcorn while they were waiting for everyone to arrive.

There were 3 different types of popcorn with several different topping flavors to put on them.

 Amber made this for Jen to take home to Mike. It's filled with ingredients to make cookies.

 After the gifts were opened we had desert. This is a darling punch for a baby shower.

Amber made a "Grasshopper" dessert to go with the theme. Yummy!!!!

 Lots of good friends to share this special day with.

Chowder Fest

We have been talking about having a Chowder Fest and this was the year. Unfortunately for Ron and me we were at the river when it was scheduled. They had it at Jennifer and Will's and the kids said it was a great event with many very good chowders. Our kids are so thoughtful that they saved containers of each chowder so we could have our own tasting when we got home. They were all very good. The tasters voted on their favorites and my niece Cara took first place. Sounds like this was a such a success that they will have it again next year and even more people ant to come. YUMMY!!!

New Years Eve

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!

Tonight we partied at Jennie and Will's. We always have a great time with family, friends, food and fun! I made cake pops again and I think I can actually say I am getting the hang of how to do this. The process all went very smoothly and I don't think I saw any of them crack.

 Ron, Will's sister Erika and her little guy Josiah. He is quite a cutie!

 Jerad, Amber and that baby bump again.  Won't be long and the bump will be gone and we can all hold the baby.

 Nicole got the girls party glasses. I think they LOVED them!

 The glasses are pretty cool, right? Just hard to get pictures with the flash.. Oh well, it's the fun that matters.

 You'd think I was a rookie the way I cut their heads off. Sorry, but this was such a cute picture of Lizzy and Simon that I just had to use it.

 Even the little ones have their groove on tonight. Go Lizzy, Go Simon!

It's 9:00 and Happy New Year east coast time. The families with young ones now head home as it's time for the babes, and probably the worn out moms and dads, to go to bed.

Amber's Baby Shower

Jennie did a wonderful job on the decorations. Since Amber is decorating the nursery with the alphabet Jennie used that theme for the shower.

The goodies and treats were not only fun to look at, but very yummy!

Baby things are just so darn cute.  Amber got a wonderful selection of things that will come in very handy once this little boy, yes it's a boy, arrives.
