Jodie's Wedding

My niece Jodie Sessions married Eric Olson on Aug 3, 2012. They chose this date as it was Jodie's mom and dad's anniversary. Scott passed away in April of 2010 from ALS. Jodie carried her mom and dad's wedding rings on her bouquet and Scott wrote a prayer, before he died, to be read on this day. It's a good thing they passed out tissue before the ceremony began. Even though there were a few tears this was an amazingly grand event with much joy and happiness.

Here's a pictorial story of Jodie and Eric's wedding

Eric and Jodie arrive for the party. To give you an idea as to how much work everyone did to make this such a successful event, Jodie and Eric MADE this dance floor.

Eric had only heard Jodie sing beside him at church, but never a solo, and she has an amazing voice. She chose a special song to sing for him tonight.

The orange and blue colors made this a very pretty event.

CONGRATULATIONS MR. AND MRS. ERIC OLSON!!!

Jodie's Bridal Shower

It's a bridal shower for my niece Jodie. Yup, her colors are orange and royal blue and she is not a fan of the Denver Broncos, she just liked the colors. It turned out to be a great choice.
Let's have a glass of wine and some snacks as we wait for all the guests to arrive. Notice the orange top and the blue wine bottle and glass.
The only game that Jodie really wanted to play was where the guests divide into teams and dress one of their team mates in a wedding dress made from toilet paper. We took Rylie to the kitchen and dressed her in a beautiful dress. She had so much fun!

Who do you think the winner is?
Yes, it was Karen's Team! Looks like she has some very creative people on her team. It almost looks like it could be a REAL dress.
Jodie loved this and I think everyone else did too.

Father's Day

Jennie set a special table for Father's Day. The name tags had camping trailers, trees and fish all tied together with her black, brown and cream table setting.

This was Jerad's first Father's Day and what a proud daddy he is.
He just loves this little guy!

What a special Father's Day this was for him also.

Laura's Graduation

Today we celebrated the graduation of our good friend Laura. She has always been our miracle baby as she was born several months early and weighed in at just a little over 3 pounds. That did not stop her as she has been a high achiever all her life. Today she graduated magna cum laude from Pacific Lutheran University with a degree in education and a minor in music. I'm sure there are more great achievements in her future.
Congratulations Laura!

President Loren J. Anderson greets the students and guests.
