Play Date

Today we had a play date with Reed and Rylie. Reed is almost 6 months old and Rylie is 3. Amber and Brayden had a nice visit with Cara and Reed while Rylie and I played in Rylie's room. The boys really aren't interested in each other yet, but the day will come when they will have a great time playing together.

Happy Birthday Rylie

Our Princess turns 3!!!
Actually this is our Great Niece Rylie who loves pink and anything princess. So a "Princess Party" was the perfect theme to celebrate this special day, and what fun it was.

Rylie was so excited about all her gifts and gave everyone a big hug after opening their gift. She was pretty cute.
Fancy Nanncy and all the frills. Just what a little girl that loves pink would like. Also, her very own scrubs, pink of course, so she can be a doctor just like daddy.

Baby Reed

I'm a Great Auntie for the second time. This is my Great Niece Rylie and her new brother Reed. Needless to say there is a lot of excitement at their house!

Reed is home. They change so quickly and that just newborn look is already gone. Not only is he a really cute baby, but he is soooooo good. He only wakes up once during the night, so his mommy and daddy are at least getting some sleep.
I always hope to get a yawn picture and Reed didn't let his Great Auntie down.

Watermelon Party

It's a
WATERMELON
PARTY!
We can turn any event into a party and how fun is that!

I made Rylie a watermelon sweater and hat. When I found watermelon plates, napkins, and towel I thought it would be fun to turn it into a party. I also brought a watermelon when I went over this morning. We tucked her new watermelon towel in her shirt and dug into the watermelon. I thought she might eat more, but I think she was so excited to have her "Peeps" there that she was a little distracted. It looks like she is loving it though.

Happy Birthday Rylie!

Happy Birthday to Rylie!!!
Rylie turned 2 on October 30th and she had a wonderful day. Her Maama (Grandma Julie) had taken her to Amber's one day and she spotted the baby doll in the cradle that Amber has. She was so excited about it that Julie knew then what she was giving her for her birthday. As you can see she right away knew to put the baby in the cradle and give it a bottle. Soooo cute!
Auntie Jodie made the doggie cake and it was so good. It was a pound cake with part white and part chocolate cake. Mmmmmmm.
Her Auntie Jodie and Uncle Luke gave her the kitchen. Oh, did she have fun putting the food in the frig and the dishes on the shelves. She tried to eat some of the plastic food, but quickly found out that it wasn't for eating.Jennie gave her a set of play dough and tools. Rylie was so interested in everything. Each gift she opened she had to play with for awhile. Needless to say it took us awhile. We opened gifts, played, opened gifts, took a break and had cake, opened another gift, played with it for awhile and then moved on. It was quite fun and Rylie enjoyed everything about her party.

Rylie Day

Last Friday was a Rylie day for me. My sister Julie watches her every other Friday morning. We have been gone so much this summer that I have missed most of the Fridays. This week I was home, so I went over and played for a couple hours. I have found that is best for me to take 2 cameras when I go, as Rylie always wants one. If she takes mine I get no pictures. I found this Fisher Price child's camera and she is pretty happy with it. She can push the buttons and take pictures and the flash goes off. Ah, what fun that all is. I left at nap time, but I forgot somethings in Julie's car. Soooooo, after lunch Rylie and Julie came to my house to drop off the things I forgot. She remembers where the toys are, so of course we had to have another little play time.
Rylie had a great time with Ron. She wanted him to play with the toys and kept calling him saying, "Uncle Ron, come here." He was trying to eat his lunch, so she finally went over and sat on his lap and they shared lunch.
