I'm 3 Months Old

I am 3 months old today and Grammy tells me I get cuter every day. I think that's just because I'm her favorite, and only, grandson and she can say things like that. She also tells me I am getting to be such a big strong boy and I like to hear that.

 Just chillin' out
This is the nest Grammy made for me when I                    I sure do like laying on Mommy and
was a newborn. I don't fit anymore and I still                     Daddy's bed so I can kick and kick and
don't like to keep my legs on the inside.                              giggle and giggle.

Brayden 2 Months

I have found my fingers, and so far I just like to put them in my mouth. I don't like a pacifier, so I don't think I will suck my thumb either.
(Sorry I look a little blue. I don't know what Grammy was doing with her camera.)
Yuk, I'm  not sure this is such a good idea.
This is the best. I put a thumb in the side of my mouth and just chew and chew.
 Happy Boy

Chowder Fest

We have been talking about having a Chowder Fest and this was the year. Unfortunately for Ron and me we were at the river when it was scheduled. They had it at Jennifer and Will's and the kids said it was a great event with many very good chowders. Our kids are so thoughtful that they saved containers of each chowder so we could have our own tasting when we got home. They were all very good. The tasters voted on their favorites and my niece Cara took first place. Sounds like this was a such a success that they will have it again next year and even more people ant to come. YUMMY!!!

Cowlitz in April

We headed to the Cowlitz for a week so the boys could get some GOOD (?) fishing in and we also had a work party on Saturday. The weather was not very good. We had rain and more rain with occasional  breaks. They did get a few fish, but the river was so high that it made fishing very difficult.
This was an amazing site that we had not seen at the river before. On each side of the river there are big fields. The geese would fly from one side to the other several times a day. You knew when they were getting ready to fly as the squawking began. There were literally thousands of geese! Looking up river and down river the sky was full of them. Some were in V formation and some were not. It certainly was a site to see and hear.
Here are some pictures of the work party.

Norm and Rosemary were down for the week, so joined in with the work. Thank you so much for all your help.

While I was weeding the flower beds around the bathrooms/laundry room I found this little green frog. He was very happy to pose for me. This picture is NOT life size. This little guy was really only about an inch long.

Of course the sun came out and it was a beautiful the day we had to leave. It often happens that way. We are retired so should be able to stay if we want, but everyone had commitments back home. Besides, we always think it is better that we hate to leave, as that means we can't wait to come back again. Yup, well be back next month.

To Cute to MIss

This picture is a little out of order, but it's one Amber took and I somehow missed seeing it until yesterday. She was out shopping with Brayden and he fell asleep. This was taken in February when he was almost 2 months old. What a darling little dude.

This picture was taken when Brayden was almost 3 months old. Dennis, his Great Uncle, bought him these sunglasses so he would be ready for the sun. He says, "Thanks Uncle Great. Look at me just chillin' out". Again, pretty darn cute. I love this little guy!!!!

Squirrels

Can you see what's wrong with this picture, beside the fact that the squirrel is eating the birds food? We don't have many squirrels, but the ones we have are very clever. I don't seem to be able to outsmart them. The squirrel guard is on the pole to keep the squirrels out of the feeder. However, this little guy simply jumps above it and then climbs the pole. Looks like I need to do a little research on how high they can jump and then try raising the squirrel guard, or get a taller pole.

The thing is they are pretty fun to watch even if they are eating the birds food. I have tried putting corn out for them, but then the Stellar Jays eat the corn. I sure wish these guys knew what was on their own menus.

Happy Easter Boy

Brayden was pretty calm and relaxed until we turned him into an Easter Bunny.

He's only 2 months old, but he thought it was pretty fun to wear the bunny ears. He laughed and giggled and had a great time.

Grammy and Brayden

Someone said the other day that they hadn't seen a picture of me with Brayden.
So, here's a Grammy and Brayden picture just for you.
