Heading to Idaho

We're on our way to Idaho where Ron and his friend Norm will spend a month fishing the Clearwater River. There have been some bad forest fires in Eastern Washington and as we drove through the area we saw the smoke.

Crossing the Columbia River at Vantage
I love driving through this country. That's Norm and Rosemary ahead of us.

Can you see the road in front of us? It's up and down and around in this high country as we head towards Starbuck. Yes, that's the town name and not the coffee shop. It's so small I doubt they even have a Starbuck's. Ron says this is the road we love to hate. Love driving through the country, but hate all the curves.
 More smoke from the fires.
A wagon in the Tucanan River campground. It's a great overnight stop for us.

Brayden is 8 Months Old

Brayden is now 8 months old. Isn't he just the cutest little guy? He went for a walk with his Mommy and Auntie and Auntie found a perfect spot for a fall picture. And yes, he is always a happy smiley guy unless he is hungry and tired.

Since I was out of town I have to again thank Brayden's Auntie Jennie for these great pictures at Schuh Farms.

Where's Brayden?      Here I am Auntie

My Fair Lady

The Mt. Baker Theater in Bellingham has been presenting some productions which are part local talent and part professional. The Mt Baker creates the scenery and most of the actors are local, but the main characters and I believe the orchestra have been hired from a production company. These have been excellent events.

All the kids seem to like this toy.

Lyon's Booth

Ron works in the Lyon's food booth at Civic field for the different sporting events. He thought it would be fun for the girls to join in the fun one night. They had a great time and even saw some of their former teachers.

Labor Day Weekend 2012

This was the weekend to refinish the parks benches and our swing bench.
Judy and Jan are getting started on the project.

The guys did some fishing and are now preparing the fish eggs to be used on future trips.

.Since we were here for several days the guys decided to take advantage of this time and out the siding on the new shed. These guys are real workers!!!

This is a great place to come camping and we wanted room for our family and friends to join us, so we bought another lot. This one is almost right across the street from our other one. There's a little bit of work to do, so we got busy on it right away.

I moved some of the flowers from back of the shed to the side. At this point I am not sure what they are, so next summer it will be a surprise.

Saw some new bugs around this weekend. I tried looking them up, but didn't find them. Sorry I can't  tell you what they are, but they sure are pretty.

This huge bees nest was discovered on this trip. We were surprised that Gary hadn't seen it before when he was mowing. Or, that he hadn't been stung. Ron and Skeet took the nest down and the next day the bees were huddles together wondering what had happened to their home.
