Ron and I took a walk along the Snake River. I had taken the trail before, but this was Ron's first time. I wanted him to see the columnar basalt that is amazing.

Sometimes the trail was pretty overgrown. We found out later that they are going to close this part of the trail.
Then the trail got even worse. We really wanted to see the petroglyphs, so on we went, only to find the area fenced off. We later found out that they had been vandalized, so the fence was put up to keep people out. So, we missed the petroglyphs again this year, but we did have a nice 6 mile hike along the river.
