Off we go for day number 2 of clam digging. We decided to try a different location tonight and drove just a few miles to Roosevelt Beach. We went plenty early so if we didn't find any clams we could go back to our house and dig. Well, look at the pictures to see what happened! These clams were pretty deep. Look how far down in the ground Robin has her tube.
Up she comes and there was a clam in the sand.
This is what you want to see when you pull the tube out of the sand. After just half an hour we all had our limits and this is what our digging area looked like. We found a little neighborhood and simply dug it up. I don't think we have ever found an area like this before. It's a record setter!Robin is a little sandy as she was down in the sand. She was NOT going to let those clams get away from her.

This is my limit (15) after they have been washed and are ready to take home. I imagine some peoples mouths are watering at this point. Though they do look pretty I will let other people eat them.
