Dirty Dan Days

Once again we went to Dirty Dan Days chowder cook off in Fairhaven. Many of the local restaurants bring their favorite chowder recipes for tasting. We buy a ticket which lets us do the tasting. Once we have chosen our favorite we get a large bowl of that chowder, plus a piece of bread. Mmmmmm.... they are so good!

They have entertainment on the stage during the event. These are some dancers that were in town for another event and were able to entertain here as well. Sorry I don't have nay more information about them than that.
Cindy and I have a little sample cup from one of the restaurants. Hmmm, wonder if this one turned out to be our favorite.

And here we have Dirty Dan himself. Well, he is actually representing Dirty Dan.

These gentlemen are taking part in the Dirty Dan look alike contest. They have this every year. The man in the middle is really named Dan and he won the contest. So a Dan won the Dan contest. There was a lot of teasing, joking and laughing during this event. What a great time they were having.
