Two Months Old
Our grand baby Brayden is already 2 months old. Boy, does time zip right by. Everyday it's more fun spending time with him. He can already do so much more than eat, sleep and wet. He surprised his doctor by rolling over for her, not once, but twice. He does seem to be a strong little guy. He is looking around his world and really taking time to look at objects. Right now he is using his voice a lot and is so full of smiles and giggles. Such a happy little boy. Well, happy except when he is hungry. Like most men, when he is hungry he let's us know. After he eats he is back to our smiley boy.

Play Date
Today we had a play date with Reed and Rylie. Reed is almost 6 months old and Rylie is 3. Amber and Brayden had a nice visit with Cara and Reed while Rylie and I played in Rylie's room. The boys really aren't interested in each other yet, but the day will come when they will have a great time playing together.

7 Weeks Old
Hi Guys,
I'm 7 weeks old today. Don't I look like I'm getting to be a big boy? I weigh 9 lbs 8 oz and am 22 inches long. My mommy had to pack away some of my newborn clothes. She was sad about that, but not me. Now I get some new clothes.

Amazing!
Before After
The first picture was taken 2 days before Brayden was born. Isn't it amazing that those babies can fit into that tight little spot? The second picture was taken about a week ago when Brayden was a month old. Also notice that Amber not only has lost her baby bump, but any sign that she was ever pregnant. No tummy on this girl. She kept up with her exercise program while she was pregnant and even ran 2 half marathons. Way to go Amber! Healthy mommy and healthy baby.

Brayden's Photo Shoot
Here's our handsome little boy when he was about 2 weeks old. We knew we were having trouble getting some really cute pictures, but when Amber called in the professional we found that newborn pictures are just not easy to take. So, here's how the photo shoot went. Amber invited Stephanie Stremler to come to the house and take Braydens' newborn pictures. She got all her equipment set up and was ready to begin and... Brayden was wide awake. They like to take these pictures when the babies are sleeping as they are much easier to pose. Not with this little guy. She did get a few pictures, but after 2 hours, lots of crying and no sleeping, they decided to give up and try another day.
Stephanie came back 2 days later and as you look through the pictures you will see that she still did not get a sleeping baby, but he was in a better mood on this day. I hope you enjoy the pictures of our special little baby boy!
Hey, don't I look like a big boy just chillin' out in my hat that Grammy made? She also made the blanket, which they wrapped me in when I came home from the hospital.
Mommy kisses!

Finishing Up Old Projects
I have been trying to get some old projects finished. You know how they can start piling up. There are always new and exciting new ideas coming out - don't dare look at Pinterest - but I need to get some of the old ones finished so I can clear off the counters in my hobby room. These are 2 of the quilts I have been working on and decided I just needed to get finished. The pink one is from the 2009 Shop Hop. OK, so it only took me 3 years to finish it. Well, not really. I had most of the blocks done as I took a Shop Hop class where we worked on them. When the class was over I unfortunately put it away and went to work on other projects. There it stayed for a long time. The green quilt is actually from the first Shop Hop I ever went to in 2004. Yes, way back in 2004. Again, I got the blocks done and then let it sit. It's the finishing quilting that gets to me. I have quilted some, but if they get to big it is just to hard to do on my little machine. Sooooo, I finally said I can't keep putting this off and took them to someone else and let them do the quilting. So much easier for me.
