While the men fish us ladies have a great time working on our craft projects. Rosemary loves to cook and keeps us furnished with pies and other goodies, besides working on her counted cross stitch. Amy is our photographer and also had a fun time making this fleece blanket for her baby who is due in December. I bring projects to keep everyone busy and/or help with questions they may have. This trip I focused on cross stitch and finished several small Halloween projects.Amy's blanket. Such a cute doggie print.
I decided it would be fun to make "Cake Pops" for Halloween. Since this was a first experience it was a real learning process for us. Believe it or not it took all day. I made the cake the day before, but by the time we rolled the balls, cooled them, cooled them some more and finally put them in the freezer to speed up the process, the time flew by. We soon learned that it worked best to dip the sticks in chocolate, insert in all the balls and then place in the freezer for about 15 minutes. Before trying this the little balls kept falling off in the chocolate. NOT FUN! Once we got the routine figured out it all went smoothly. Remember, we are in our motorhome with limited space and even less freezer space, so it was a slow process.
The finished product. They did turn out pretty cute, and tasted even better!
