HAPPY MOTHER's DAY to ALL you MOTHER'S
Today is May 8th, and it is not only Mother's Day, but it would have been Mom's birthday. She would have been 99 years old today. Julie and I met at the cemetery so we could leave her some petunias, which she loved to grow in her garden in the summer.
We headed to Jennie's for Mother's Day dinner. She used the green sandwich glass dishes that used to belong to Will's Grandma Fran. They invited her to come, but she was not feeling well that day. They were so pretty and I'm sure Fran would have been thrilled to see them being used.
Will cooked a turkey in the smoker and it turned out perfect. It was another delicious meal. Amber was our desert lady and she made this chocolate cake with peanut butter filling and homemade ice cream with chocolate and cherries. She knows I like chocolate covered cherries.
