Sunset Sail

It was a beautiful evening and Bruce called to see if we would like to go for a sunset sail on Bellingham Bay. Well, you just can't turn down an invitation like that. This is the "Tapocketa Too" and for you sailors it's a Thomas 35. She's a beauty!
Not being a sailor, I don't know what all these things are called, but it's amazing how they work. Sailing is not easy. You are always watching the wind and using these to make adjustments to the sails. It really takes knowledge and hard work.

Cindy and Bruce relaxing. Yes, there is time for relaxing once all the sails are set.  Tonight we had calm seas, which was great for us. Bruce also races this boat, so on those nights he wants that wind to blow!
Looking across the bay at Bellingham.
Just waiting for the sizzle before we head back into the harbor.

Thank you Bruce and Cindy for your friendship and the beautiful sunset cruise.
